My music magazine-final cover, Front Cover

This is the final cover of my front cover. As I have explained in my evaluation, I have made little change to my front cover but for good reason. I think that if I had included pugs down the side of the page it would have crowded the page too much and made it look too busy. Currently the masthead and the photo dominate the page. I intentionally did this because I wanted it to look as such. In a lot of other proffesional magazines, the do things conventionally with all their covers. It always has a similar layout with the same coloured text for the masthead (for example) but I thought for a more unique and individual look for my magazine I would be slightly different but at the same time, not ruin the overall look of the front cover. The changes i'm reffering to are that i had made the splash maginally bigger and the surrounding text smaller and closer together to make the pag appear together and more central.

My music magazine- final cover, Contents page

This is my final contents page. This has changed a lot more compared to my last one. This is because the last contents page I posted didn't feel finished and When asked, my classmates felt some other aspects of the page should be changed. I firstly changed the way the contents list was presented, instead of just a list on thepage with page numbers, I have included a small caption of writing to explain what the page is about so the reader is better informed. I have also changed the background as stated in the last post of my contents page. however it isn't as good as i'd hoped it to be because I have only created an affect behind the band. I should really have included a natural background which would hae given the picture more depth and a far better look to the page overall. I am however happy with the rest of the page because it is conventional and is also in the same colour theme as my front cover.

My music magazine- final cover, Double page spread

This is my final double page spread. I have only changed the layout slightly from the last one because I thought the text was too cramped on the right hand page. So I have tried to spread it out by making the text slightly smaller but I have also made the first paragraph stretch around the picture to make it look less cramped. The only other thing I have since changed was the quote of writing to another font because it stands out more which is what I want it to do, it will catch the readers eye more therefore making them stay on the page.

My music magazine, double page spread draft

My double page spread has undergone slight changes compared to the contents page and front cover. Here all I have dine is simply add my own picture and re-arrange some text. The only problem I can see looking at it is that the left hand page looks good because it isn't all that cramped with text. However if you look at the right hand page you notice that the paragraphs are a lot closer together because of the photo. I will try to address this measure but unless it is pointed out, you don't particularly notice this.

My music magazine, Final Contents page draft

This my first draft of my final contents page. Again I have added my own picture to the layout rather than have another one on the page. and as I have said on my last post, I have continued to change its appearance to make it more conventional and keeping in similar theme with the front cover. I think to improve this further, I should include a background behind the band because it takes over the page having just a blank background but its close to completion.

My Music magazine, final front cover draft

This is my magazine with my photograph on it, not only have i changed the appearance in terms of the photo, but I have also changed its layout slightly. Now at the top of the page underneath the masthead, there is a white line separating the masthead from the page and another one separating the logo from the masthead, obviously the only reason for this change is because of aesthetical looks and I will try to replicate this effect throughout both my contents page and double page spread. I have also made up the name for my band, they are called "the undisputed". this is the draft version of my final front cover so I will change it slightly more because it looks a little bit unfinished and bare. However that is very similar to how I planned my front cover to be.
